Monday

Our club meets in the wonderful upstairs seating area. Home to our monthly Blitz series Tournaments, as well as host to casual games from bullet to classical to Bughouse. With a varied gathering of all ages and skill levels you’re sure to find a great game.
Wednesday
Boardwalk Cafe 6pm – 10pm

The place where it all started! Chess club has been running on Wednesday evenings for nearly 3 years now. A wide menu of drinks and snacks and amazing games of chess. There is an $8.00 cover charge per person to Boardwalk for use of the space.

The club has boards, pieces and clocks available for your use. But if you have a board you really want to show off, bring it in!
We work in partnership with the Fraser Valley Chess Academy to provide lessons in the city of Abbotsford. Find more information on lessons on their website
This is an event put on near the end of every month in partnership with the Fraser Valley Chess Academy. It is 9 rounds of unrated Blitz chess (3+2 time control). A fun opportunity to test your skills against other local players. $20 entry fee with cash prizes for the top performers. Registration here
Our weekly club meetings do not require an active CFC membership to participate. Rated tournaments do.
We welcome people of all experience and skill levels! We’ve helped brand new players learn the rules and we’ve seen players attempting Master norms. There’s always someone to play a game against regardless of ability.
